Meet Monica

Meet Monica McKinley

Idahoans deserve representation in line with their values and I am willing to be your voice because your voice matters. I am a retired small business owner who has felt the pain and struggle of regulation and taxation by big government, so I am committed to protecting the integrity of Idaho values: individual freedom, limited government, and fiscal responsibility.

I was born in beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho as a 4th generation Idahoan. I am a wife, a daughter, a mother, and a grandmother. I moved to the Treasure Valley in 1984 and have lived on my organic hobby farm in Meridian with my wonderful husband for almost 30 years.  My children were educated in the Meridian/West Ada school district.  Our family loves to work hard, play hard and serve our community.

I am a hard worker, quick learner, and possess a strong ability to lead, collaborate, and work with others to get the job done. It will be my honor to serve you in the Idaho legislature, so I'm asking for your vote on May 21st.

TOPThe Issues

Monica McKinley, putting the People of Idaho first.

As your District 21 Representative, I will...

Oppose burdensome taxes and support efforts to remove government regulations from small businesses.

Advocate for common-sense grocery and property tax relief for Idahoans, especially for those on fixed incomes and tight budgets.

Defend your second amendment right to bear arms and strengthen our Stand Your Ground laws.

Defend Idaho’s clean air, clean water, and access to open spaces.

Fight for the lives of the unborn, those with disabilities and the elderly.

Support school choice.

Work to safeguard our elections and stand firmly against ranked choice voting.

Promote secure borders and legislation to protect Idahoans from fentanyl traffickers.

Fight for your right to free speech, freedom of religion, and to peaceably assemble, as recognized by the First Amendment.

Protect your right to keep your medical information and decisions private.

Work collaboratively with my fellow Republicans in the legislature to pass legislation to bring power back to the people.

Monica McKinley, putting the People of Idaho first.
